Fluid Regulator Characteristics
Easy access seat plugThe removable plug allows quick access to the ball and seat of the fluid regulator. This feature reduces downtime for cleaning or changing the seat if necessary. It also allows users to use different sized balls and seats to generate different flow rates. |
Larger adjustment springA large diameter counter-spring is used to ensure consistent pressure output and a wide pressure range. Models can be configured with different spring options for higher performance and better regulator life. |
Tamper-resistant spring adjustmentARO’s later industrial regulator models have a recessed hexagonal connection, which allows the pressure to be adjusted using the same 9.5 mm (3/8 in) wrench included to remove the housing. This screw is recessed to prevent accidental or unauthorized changes to the setting. |
Mode “Easy-flush”With the unique rinse mode of ARO’s industrial back regulators, simply turn the included key clockwise to move the entire central spindle downwards, which removes the ball from the seat and eliminates particle build-up throughout the regulator. |
Base housing material optionsHigh-pressure regulator bases are available in 300 series stainless steel or zinc/aluminum. High-pressure bases are available in 300 series stainless steel or carbon steel coated in chemical nickel for greater material compatibility. All regulator seals are made of PTFE for maximum chemical compatibility. |
Easy access housing fastenersTo open our industrial regulators for maintenance or inspection, simply remove four easily accessible hexagonal screws. There is no need to remove the regulator from the line during the process. The upper housing is made of corrosion-resistant aluminum and zinc, with an elegant appearance and a long rust-free service life. |
Larger Adjustment Spring
A large diameter counter-spring ensures consistent pressure output and a wide pressure range. Models can be configured with different spring options for enhanced performance and improved regulator lifespan.
Base Housing Material Choices
Low-pressure regulator bases are available in 300 series stainless steel or zinc/aluminum. High-pressure bases are available in 300 series stainless steel or electroless nickel-plated carbon steel for broad material compatibility. All regulator seals are made of PTFE for maximum chemical compatibility.
Tamper-resistant Spring Adjustment
ARO’s industrial downstream regulator models feature a recessed hex-head fitting, allowing pressure adjustments with the included 3/8” wrench, which also removes the housing. The recessed screw helps prevent accidental or unauthorized adjustments.
Easy-Access Housing Fasteners
Our industrial regulators can be opened for maintenance or inspection by removing four easily accessible hex-head screws. There’s no need to remove the regulator from the line during this process. The upper housing is made of corrosion-resistant zinc aluminum for a sleek appearance and long rust-free life.
Typical Applications
Back-pressure fluid regulators are typically used in recirculating or closed-loop systems, allowing them to maintain fluid pressure either upstream of the fluid regulator or downstream of the dispensing device. Back-pressure fluid regulators help maintain fluid pressure regardless of changing flow demand triggered by multiple operators or dispense points.
